About 924,000 students to receive nutrition packs during LGS exam
924,191 students taking Türkiye’s High School Transition System (LGS) exam on Saturday will receive a nutrition pack for the first time under a new initiative by the Ministry of National Education aimed at supporting students’ well-being.

The nationwide exam will be held on June 13 across all 81 provinces and 920 districts in Türkiye, with more than 1.02 million students expected to participate. An additional 554 candidates will sit the exam at 11 test centers in eight countries abroad. Under the new program, students whose parents requested the service through the e-School system will receive a nutrition pack during the break between the verbal and numerical sections of the exam. The package includes a dried-fruit oat bar, walnuts, raisins and water.
According to the ministry, around 91% of all candidates registered for the exam in Türkiye and abroad will benefit from the initiative. To facilitate distribution, students were assigned to schools based on whether they requested a nutrition pack. In districts where fewer than 40 students declined the package, those students will take the exam in separate rooms within the same buildings as students receiving the packs.
