Program Benefits (including each scholarship)

  • Merit Scholarships (general)
    • All admitted students are automatically considered; no application needed
  • Presidential Scholarship (LEEP)
    • Awarded to ~3–5 outstanding applicants annually. Covers full tuition and on-campus room & board for four years, regardless of financial need. Selection is based on the strength of the admissions application; finalists will be invited for an interview.
  • Global Scholars Program
    • Provides $15,000–$25,000 per year for up to four years, renewable based on academic performance; additional need-based aid up to $5,000 possible
  • UWC Davis Scholarship
    • For United World College graduates, including merit and need-based grants up to tuition covered through combined aid (Clark merit, UWC grant, and need-based funding)

Required Documents

  • Admission materials: Common or Coalition Application
  • CSS/Financial Aid PROFILE (if applying for need-based aid) – use code 3279
  • Optional Presidential Scholarship: short essays and an interview if selected
  • English proficiency: TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or PTE scores (no fixed minimum, but general guidelines apply)
  • Letters of recommendation: Two, one from a school counselor and one from a teacher (or two academic teachers if no counselor)

Application Process

  • Automatic merit consideration happens; to be considered for the Presidential Scholarship, check the option in your application (essay required later)
  • Submit CSS PROFILE (code 3279) by admission deadline if seeking need-based aid
  • If selected for the Presidential Scholarship, complete short essays and attend the interview.
  • UWC applicants will be considered for both merit and need-based aid, including UWC funds
