Huawei has strengthened its commitment to advancing education in Africa by signing multiple Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various African countries. These agreements aim to leverage digital and intelligent technologies to promote inclusive education across the continent.

Over the past decade, Huawei has supported more than 7,800 educational institutions in over 120 countries, partnered with over 3,000 universities worldwide to establish Huawei ICT Academies, and trained over one million students, demonstrating its long-term dedication to building ICT talent and advancing educational development globally.

The MoUs were formalized during the inaugural Africa Inclusive Education Forum, held in Beijing from August 18 to 20, 2025, as part of the Global Smart Education Conference. The forum saw participation from over 30 delegates representing countries such as Egypt, Algeria, Senegal, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Cameroon, including officials from education ministries and university representatives.

The primary focus of these partnerships is to utilize Huawei's advanced technologies to bridge educational gaps, particularly in underserved regions, ensuring equitable access to quality education. By integrating digital tools and intelligent systems, the initiative seeks to overcome geographical and resource-based barriers, fostering personalized learning experiences and optimizing educational resources.

Ye Ziping, Vice President and Chief Digital Officer of Huawei Northern Africa, emphasized the company's dedication to collaborating with partners to design tailored solutions that address the unique educational challenges faced by African nations. He highlighted the importance of technology in empowering individuals and communities, aligning with Huawei's broader vision of promoting humanistic values through innovation.

This initiative is part of Huawei's ongoing efforts to contribute to the digital transformation of education globally, reinforcing its role as a key player in shaping the future of learning through technological advancement.
