ICYF International Media Training Camp 2025 in Türkiye

The ICYF International Media Training Camp 2025 is a fully funded, on-site training program designed to empower young individuals with core journalistic skills and media ethics. Organized by the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF) and the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Türkiye in partnership with the TRT, the national broadcaster of Türkiye, the program will take place in person at a youth camp facility in Antalya, Türkiye. The opportunity is ideal for young students and aspiring media professionals from OIC countries or Muslim minorities who are interested in journalism, digital content creation production, and storytelling. 

The training camp aims to empower a new generation of young journalists on the journey of digital storytelling and news reporting in the information age using daily tools. The training program focuses on young people ages 18 to 25 and offers an opportunity to learn new skills in mobile journalism, storytelling, field production, and journalism basics. 

Eligibility

• Who can apply: Students or young individuals with an interest in journalism or media
• Age requirement: 18–25 years old
• Language requirement: Good command of English
• Nationality: Citizens of OIC Member States or Muslim minorities from non-OIC countries
• Other criteria: Applicants should be motivated to learn and committed to attend the full duration of the program

Program Dates

• Application deadline: 15 July 2025 (23:59, GMT+3, Istanbul)
• Camp for young men: 8–13 September 2025
• Camp for young women: 15–20 September 2025

Program Coverage/Benefits

Funding status: Fully funded

Travel costs:

• Up to $250 for international participants
• Up to 3500₺ for participants residing in Türkiye
• Accommodation and meals: Fully covered
• Local transportation: Provided from the airport/bus station to the venue and back
• Travel insurance: Provided
• Visa: Support letter provided
• Certificate: Joint certificate from ICYF and TRT for full attendance

Note: 

• The Host Organizers will provide a participation confirmation letter for the necessary visa application process. The participants will cover their visa costs by themselves.
• Selected participants are kindly requested to bring the following equipment: a phone, a phone tripod, and a microphone to ensure an optimal learning experience.

• Participants will be requested to submit a final media project, which will be evaluated by a jury from TRT
• Applicants can only apply to one training session (male or female cohort)
