Imperial College London is offering up to 50 fully funded President’s PhD Scholarships for the 2026–27 academic year. These prestigious awards aim to attract outstanding doctoral candidates from around the world to conduct innovative research across various disciplines. The scholarships provide comprehensive financial support, including full tuition coverage, a generous stipend, and additional allowances for research-related expenses. Applications are currently open, with multiple rounds and deadlines in November 2025, January 2026, and March 2026.

Eligibility 

  • Academic Excellence:
    • Exceptional academic performance in a relevant field.
    • Candidates must have obtained, or be due to obtain, a first-class degree or equivalent in an undergraduate or integrated Master’s program.
    • If a standalone Master’s degree is being pursued, candidates must have achieved, or provide evidence they will achieve, a distinction.
    • Candidates holding only a single undergraduate degree or an integrated Master’s must still have obtained, or be due to obtain, a first-class degree or equivalent.
  • Research Proposal:
    • A compelling and original research proposal aligned with Imperial’s strategic priorities.
  • Supervisor Commitment:
    • Confirmation from a faculty member at Imperial College London to supervise the proposed research project before applying for this scholarship
  • Nationality:
    • Open to both Home and Overseas students.
