The Canadian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (CCCD) is organizing this forum in Toronto in October 2025. It’s designed as an interdisciplinary platform bringing together policymakers, digital strategists, researchers, cultural leaders, and creatives to explore how algorithms, AI, social media, and digital ecosystems are transforming the way nations and actors project cultural narratives and influence.

Eligibility

  • Open to individuals 18+ (no upper age limit).
  • Students, professionals, and practitioners in International Relations, Communication, Media, Cultural Studies, Arts, Technology, Diplomacy, or related fields.
  • Conversational English proficiency required.
  • Priority given to youth, women, and underrepresented groups.
  • Demonstrated interest in topics such as digital diplomacy, soft power, cultural exchange, or global communication.
  • A brief motivation statement must be included as part of the application.
  • Applicants should show willingness to share their experiences and apply the forum’s insights within their communities or professional fields.

Program Dates/Location and Format

  • Application Deadline: August 20, 2025
  • Duration: one-day format on October, 2025 , the exact date has not been announced yet
  • Location/Format: Toronto, Canada (hybrid – in person & online)
    • In-person attendees can get a fully funded or partially funded trip and gather in Toronto for the sessions, networking breaks, and cultural activities.
    • Online participants will join via live streaming and possibly interactive Q&A tools.
      • All the panels, keynote talks, and discussions are packed into that one day, but they’re accessible from anywhere in real time
  • Participation in local or international forums, cultural projects, tech-based initiatives, or volunteer work (preferred not required).
  • Engagement with social media campaigns, digital storytelling, or public advocacy activities (preferred not required).

  • Fully Funded Seats (10)
    • Covers flights, accommodation, meals, and full event access.
  • Partially Funded Seats (20)
    • Covers accommodation and event access.
  • Total Participants: Around 200 (including self-funded)
