Jiangsu University Presidential Scholarship 2025–26 (China)

The scholarship aims to support international students (non-Chinese citizens) pursuing Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhDprograms at Jiangsu University in Zhenjiang. Its goal is to reduce financial pressure, attract top talent, and encourage academic excellence and cultural exchange 

Applicants must:

  • Be non-Chinese citizens with a valid passport
  • Meet age limits: Bachelor’s (under 25), Master’s (under 30), PhD (under 40)
  • Be admitted to an English-taught degree program (scholarship not available for Chinese-taught programs, though a 40% tuition discount applies to those)
  • Not hold another Chinese scholarship concurrently
  • Maintain strong academic performance, with scholarship renewal tied to yearly evaluations 

Scholarship Details

PhD Level

  • Type A (Full award) covers tuition, on-campus accommodation, and a one-time living stipend of CNY 5,000(~USD 700).
  • Type B includes tuition and accommodation only, with no stipend .

Master’s Level

  • Type A offers a one-time CNY 25,000 (~USD 3,500) scholarship
  • Type B provides CNY 20,000 (~USD 2,800)

Bachelor’s Level (for selected English-taught majors)

  • Type A gives CNY 10,000 (~USD 1,400) for the first year only
  • Type B offers CNY 10,000 per year (~USD 1,400/year) to students from ASEAN, EU, USA, UK, Central Asia, and select regions .

Renewal & Conditions

  • Master’s and PhD scholarships are renewable annually based on academic performance, with possible increases or decreases.
  • Bachelor’s students changing their major must repay scholarship amounts if they switch after the first year.
  • Any recipient must repay the scholarship if they leave the university prematurely .
  • The scholarship cannot be combined with other Chinese government-funded programs.

  • Program start: Autumn 2025 intake.
  • Required documents:
    • Valid passport photo page.
    • Transcripts and degree certificates, notarized in English.
    • English proficiency test
    • Non-criminal record and health certificate.
    • For Master’s and PhD: Study/research plan and two recommendation letters

  1. Apply online via Jiangsu University’s overseas admissions portal.
  2. Upload the Presidential Scholarship Application Form during the scholarship section of application.
  3. Submit all required documents before the 14 July 2025 deadline.
  4. No separate scholarship essay is required - your application includes a research/study plan.
