Eligibility:
GENIUS Olympiad is open to high school students worldwide. Participants can apply individually or in teams. Students are encouraged to showcase their skills in science, arts, creative writing, engineering, design, coding, AI, entrepreneurship, robotics, music, short film, and speech.

Program date:

  • Submission Deadline: March 1, 11:59 PM US EST
  • US/EU Fair Deadline: April 16
  • Finalists Announced: March 25
  • Participant Registration Deadline: May 10
  • GENIUS Finals: June 8–12 (NYC, Washington DC, Boston trips included)

Application fees:

  • $60 per project for submission
  • $600 participation fee per finalist participant

Awards and recognition for the winners:
GENIUS Olympiad provides opportunities for students to gain international recognition. Finalists and winners are celebrated for their contributions to environmental sustainability and innovation across multiple disciplines. Participants develop skills to become future leaders, scientists, artists, engineers, and policy makers addressing global challenges.

Rules of the competition:

  • Submissions must address global environmental issues.
  • Students must provide original work in their chosen discipline.
  • Applications must be completed and fees paid before requesting visa letters or travel arrangements.
