The KATİP Turkish Language Program is a fully funded initiative aimed at enhancing cultural diplomacy and fostering mutual understanding between Turkey and other nations. It offers public officials, diplomats, academics, and researchers from around the world the opportunity to learn Turkish and immerse themselves in Turkish culture. Participants engage in intensive language courses, cultural excursions, and professional development activities, all designed to strengthen ties between Turkey and their home countries.

Eligibility 

  • Professional Background:
    • Public officials: Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience; preference for those holding a Master's or PhD degree.
    • Academicians and researchers: Must be employed at a university or research center; preference for those holding a Master's or PhD
  • Age Limit: Under 40 years of age as of 1 January 2025
  • Language Proficiency: Must have proficiency in English (speaking and listening skills)
  • Nationality & Residence: Must not be a Turkish citizen; must not be residing in Turkey at the time of application
  • Previous Participation: Must not have previously benefited or be currently benefiting from other Türkiye Scholarships programs
  • Family Accompaniment: Spouses or family members are not permitted to accompany participants during the program
