The KAUST Microelectronics Winter Camp (MEWC) is a fully sponsored, 6-week research internship on the KAUST campus that gives motivated undergraduates, recent graduates, and master’s students the opportunity to work on real research projects in microelectronics. It combines hands-on technical training, mentorship from leading faculty, prototype design, workshops, and an e-poster competition. The goal is to build technical, innovative, and research skills in areas like integrated circuits, 3D/inkjet printing, self-assembly, etc

Eligibility

  • Senior undergraduate, recent graduate, or current master’s student in electrical & computer engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 out of 4.00 (or equivalent).
  • Strong proficiency in English.
  • Demonstrated motivation to work on research projects

  • Duration: January 12 – February 19, 2026 (6 weeks)
  • Location: King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Thuwal, Saudi Arabia
