Kazakhstan Launches Country's First-Ever Psychological Support Program for Teachers

The National Center for Professional Development “Orleu” under the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan has launched a new project aimed at strengthening teachers’ mental health and supporting their professional development, according to the Ministry’s press service.

For the first time, psychologist offices have begun operating in the Center’s branches in the Turkistan and Aktobe regions.

According to the Ministry, the pilot project is designed to help maintain teachers’ psychological well-being, prevent professional burnout, and improve stress management.

In these offices, professional psychologists provide individual and group consultations, relaxation and art therapy sessions, as well as psychological diagnostics and training. The services are offered to teachers participating in professional development courses at the “Orleu” Center. All activities strictly adhere to ethical standards and the principles of voluntary participation and confidentiality.

In the future, similar psychological support offices for teachers are planned to open in other regions of the country.
