Kazakhstan Launches Nationwide Anti-Bullying Program “DosbolLIKE” in All Schools and Colleges

For the first time in Kazakhstan, starting from the new school year, a national anti-bullying program called “DosbolLIKE” will be implemented in all schools and colleges across the country. The program aims to reduce bullying incidents among children and teenagers by creating a safe, supportive, and respectful environment in educational institutions.

The program was developed taking into account both international and domestic legal standards, including the Children’s Wellbeing Index, and is based on the best global practices in fighting bullying.

During the pilot phase, conducted in 50 schools across nine regions, bullying prevention systems were established. The best practices were noted in schools from Astana, Almaty, Abai, and Zhambyl regions.

The program uses a model of complaint → analysis → assistance plan → monitoring, involving anti-bullying teams and follow-up observation.

Nasymzhan Ospanova, Chairperson of the Committee on Child Rights Protection at Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Education, emphasized that DosbolLIKE is a sustainable tool for bullying prevention. The pilot showed that the involvement of teachers, parents, and children helps reduce conflicts, build a culture of trust and respect, and create a safer and more positive school environment.

The program also includes large-scale training for specialists. About 2,500 teachers, psychologists, and education workers have already been trained, and the plan is to cover more than 8,000 specialists across the country within the year.
