Mobile classroom bus to bring free maths and English courses

A specially equipped learning bus will travel across East Yorkshire this March, offering residents the chance to improve their maths and English skills through free preparatory courses.

Mobile classroom bus to bring free maths and English courses

A new mobile learning centre, introduced by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, is set to visit several towns in the region. The bus has been transformed into a fully functional classroom, designed to support adults working towards qualifications equivalent to GCSE level, BBC reported.

The initiative aims to make education more accessible by bringing courses directly into local communities. The project has received £170,000 in funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, helping to cover the costs of launching and operating the mobile centre.

Leader of the council, Councillor Anne Handley, encouraged residents to take advantage of the opportunity, inviting those interested to visit the bus at its scheduled stops and enrol in the available programmes.
