The AZCON School of Engineering and Technology (AZSET), established under Azerbaijan Technical University (AzTU), has officially started its operations. The new educational institution will function with the support of “TUMint,” the international academic partnership platform of the Technical University of Munich (TUM). Education at the school will be delivered entirely in English, and the program will be implemented based on world-class academic standards, The Ministry of Science and Education of Azerbaijan reports.

Within the framework of the project, TUM’s academic experience and educational model will be integrated into the AZSET program. German specialists will participate in the educational process both in person in Baku and online. The education process will be organized in accordance with TUMint’s academic approach, curriculum, teaching methodology, and assessment standards.

The school, which aims to train internationally qualified engineering and technology specialists, will provide instruction fully in English. The program is intended for students who have completed the first year of relevant natural sciences, technical, and technological specialties at Azerbaijani higher education institutions.

Applicants wishing to apply for the AZSET program are required to have a minimum average score of 81 across both semesters of their first year, as well as at least a B2 level of English proficiency.

Registration for the internal admission exam will take place between June 15 and July 15. Students who successfully pass the selection stage will be able to continue their studies in the AZSET program starting from the second year.

As part of the program, students demonstrating high academic performance will also have the opportunity to participate in study visits to the TUM campus located in Munich. Graduates who successfully complete their education will receive an official bachelor’s diploma from AzTU along with a certificate from TUM International GmbH.

In addition, career opportunities will be created within companies operating in the AZCON Holding ecosystem for graduates who stand out with high academic achievements.
