According to country's higher education minister, Poland is taking measures to increase the enrollment rate in Polish universities, notesfrompoland.com reports. In 2004, Poland only had 8,800 foreign students. But by 2025, the numbers have increased to more than 100,000. The highest numbers were from Ukraine, Belarus and Türkiye. Foreign students also contribute significantly to the economy of the country.

The National Agency for Academic Exchange along with the Polish government are trying to improve collaborations in the field of education with strategic partners. Poland have already signed memorandum to foster academic exchange with Uzbekistan. Government plans to sign the agreement with Türkiye, Vietnam and South Korea.

Polish government considers the increasing number of foreign students as an opportunity to fix the demographic decline, caused by low fertility rates.

It is clear that Poland is becoming a popular education destination, comparable to countries like the UK.
