Applications are now open for the Slovakia Scholarships for Talented Students worldwide for the 2025/26 academic year. These scholarships are fully funded and open to international applicants wishing to pursue Bachelor’s, Master’s, or combined Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs. Candidates can select from a range of designated public universities across the country. There are 150 scholarships available for bachelor’s or combined programs, and 45 scholarships dedicated to master’s degree studies.

Eligibility

  • The Scholarship is open to all Nationals. Please check the list of eligible countries.
  • Applicant must get admission into a public Slovak HEI for a full-time, in-person study program.
  • To be considered for the scholarship, a minimum SAT score of 1100 is required, whether you are applying for bachelor's or master's level studies. Applicants with the SAT score result lower than 1100 will not be considered. SAT scores will be the only criterion for the selection of successful applicants. We will accept results of SAT tests taken in the period from January 1st, 2020, up to the deadline set for the applicant submission. The SAT test is a must for applying for this scholarship scheme and it must be uploaded before the deadline.
  • Age: No upper age limit; under 18s require legal guardian approval.

Note: number of scholarships for Bachelor's/Combined Bachelor's & Master's is 150 Scholarship and 45 scholarships for Master's.

Program Benefits

The Scholarship Covers:

  • Full tuition fee BUT, the decision to waive tuition fees is up to the university.
  • Public health insurance.
  • The maximum amount of the scholarship is €15,000.

Note: You’ll receive €500 per month, for: 10 months per academic year (from September to June). The duration depends on your program:

  1. Bachelor's (3 years) → total of €15,000 (€500 x 10 months x 3 years)
  2. Combined Bachelor’s + Master’s → same rules apply for the first 3 academic years.
  3. Master’s only (2 years) → total of €10,000 (€500 x 10 months x 2 years)

Note: You are eligible to apply only if you have not had a temporary residence in Slovakia at any time between January 1, 2020, and the application deadline. In some cases, exceptions are accepted — for example, if your temporary residence was granted due to participation in Erasmus+ or the European Solidarity Corps, academic mobility, or language/professional course preparation for university/college studies, or if you were supported by a scholarship scheme funded by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) during your bachelor’s studies.

  • Solemn Declaration – Language / Professional Course Preparation or Previous Bachelor’s Studies Supported by RRP (if applicable)
  • Confirmation of Exception – Temporary Residence due to Language/Professional Course (if applicable)
