Türkiye's Ministry of National Education Launches AI Education Guide to Empower Teachers in the Digital Age

Ankara, July 2025 - Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education (MEB) has unveiled a groundbreaking interactive guide designed to help teachers integrate artificial intelligence (AI) tools into their classrooms. Titled “AI and Education: Applied Prompt Engineering and Innovative Learning Strategies with Generative Tools for Teachers,” the new resource aims to equip educators with practical skills for using AI in their lesson planning and teaching methods.

Developed by the Ministry’s Innovation and Education Technologies General Directorate (YEGITEK), the guide simplifies complex AI concepts such as prompt engineering and generative tools, providing clear explanations and ready-to-use examples for various subjects. The resource is presented in a user-friendly format to support self-paced learning for K-12 teachers across all disciplines.

The interactive guide features eight formula-based prompt strategies, explores text, image, audio, and video generation platforms, and highlights ethical AI practices, emphasizing fairness, privacy, and transparency in educational settings.

Prepared with the aim of ensuring the correct selection and evaluation of AI tools, enhancing the technological literacy of students and teachers, and creating effective learning processes, the guide aims to promote a more conscious use of AI in education.

The Ministry announced the release during the first week of July 2025, and the guide is available immediately via the official MEB and YEGITEK websites.
