Ukraine Has Launched National EdTech Center of Excellence for the Development of Educational Technologies

The Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, in collaboration with key international partners, have launched the WINWIN EdTech Center of Excellence, a new national hub designed to revolutionize the country’s education system. This initiative aims to accelerate the integration of technology into learning, foster innovation, and enhance Ukraine’s global competitiveness in the EdTech sector.

The center is designed to serve as a unified platform, bringing together government bodies, businesses, academic institutions, and civil society. Its core functions include acting as a primary entry point for both Ukrainian and global EdTech solutions, facilitating their seamless integration into the national education framework, and pioneering new learning models tailored to the evolving needs of the 21st century.

Mykhailo Fedorov, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, emphasized the strategic importance of this launch, stating, "The launch of the WINWIN EdTech Center of Excellence is the next step in developing Ukraine’s digital ecosystem. It is set to become a driver of breakthroughs for the entire EdTech sector and strengthen Ukraine’s global competitiveness."

The Center's key areas of activity will encompass:

  • Analysis and Research: Investigating global EdTech trends and adapting them to the specific Ukrainian context.
  • Testing and Scaling: Piloting innovative EdTech solutions and scaling successful practices across the nation.
  • Ecosystem Building: Fostering a robust educational ecosystem that connects students, teachers, universities, businesses, and government agencies.

The Center is a key component of the WINWIN Global Innovation Strategy 2030, developed by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science, in strategic partnership with UNICEF, ESTDEV, Google for Education, and East Europe Foundation.
