UNDP (United Nations Development Programme) is now accepting applications for its Digital Transformation Internship 2025, a fully remote three-month, paid internship open to bachelor’s, master’s students, and recent graduates globally.

Program Overview

  • Deadline to apply: September 1, 2025
  • Duration: 3 months
  • Start date: Rolling (Successful applicants may be contacted from March to December 2025)
  • Work mode: Home‑based / remote
  • Stipend: Monthly stipend varies by duty station (calculated based on your country of residence) 

Important: If you are already receiving funding from another source (like your university or government), UNDP may only top up the amount if it’s below their stipend level.

Eligibility

You must meet one of the following academic criteria:

  • Be currently enrolled in a graduate (Master’s or equivalent) program; or
  • Be in the final academic year of a bachelor’s program; or
  • Have graduated within the last year from an undergraduate or graduate program.

Additionally, 

  • You should demonstrate interest or experience in digital strategy, digital ecosystems, product design, strategic communications, and change management supporting global development initiatives
  • Applicants must not have worked for UNDP for more than 6 months previously.

What Interns Will Do

Interns may work in one or more of these areas:

  • Support digital strategy development and help governments craft digital transformation plans
  • Contribute to product design and digital initiatives, including tools for inclusive digital ecosystems
  • Assist with thought leadership, strategic communications, and partnership engagement
  • Support business operations, data and analytics, or capacity‑building efforts aligned with UNDP’s Digital Strategy 2022–2025

  • Indication of your preferred workstream(s) in the online submission (may require a separate interest form)
  • If selected, candidates may later be asked for documents such as university enrollment confirmation, transcripts, passport copy, medical certificate, etc.
