According to the university, the network could encompass nearly 500,000 members, including engineers, business leaders, start-up founders, doctors, pharmacists, researchers, lawyers, and other professionals.
Formed in 2020 through the merger of several leading French universities, grandes écoles, and research institutes on the Paris-Saclay campus, Université Paris-Saclay brings together one of Europe’s largest academic and research communities.
The network is open to all graduates from the university’s historical constituent institutions — including grandes écoles, faculties, IUTs, Polytech Paris-Saclay engineering school, and new generations educated at the Saclay Plateau campus. Its goal is to promote exchanges, professional opportunities, and scientific collaborations.
Camille Galap, president of Université Paris-Saclay, said: “This network is more than just a directory. It reflects the university’s international presence in higher education, research, and innovation.”
Launched on 11 February, the platform allows alumni to register, join thematic or regional groups, and showcase their professional journeys. The university says the services will expand over time, offering benefits such as lifelong email addresses, discounts on selected programs, and access to exclusive events.
Since its establishment in 2020, Université Paris-Saclay has consistently ranked among the world’s top 20 universities in the Shanghai Ranking, maintaining its position as a leading university in France and across Europe. The university notes that this unique standing gives the alumni network strong credibility and a distinctive place in French higher education and research.
