Application Process

  • Make sure you already hold an offer or are enrolled in a Higher Degree Research (HDR) program at UNE. If not, you’ll need to apply for admission first through the Future Students portal before submitting a scholarship application.
    • The scholarship application is available as a Word document form, accessible via the ‘Details’ button.
  • Send in your Expression of Interest (EOI) and HDR candidature application as early as possible to give enough time for processing.
  • Arrange two referee reports from academic or research supervisors (family members are not accepted). Referees must submit their reports within two weeks after they are contacted.
  • Submit your scholarship application during the official round: 4 August – 19 September 2025 (AEST). Make sure all documents and referee reports are received by 25 September 2025 (AEST).
  • Scholarship outcomes will be released on 19 November 2025.
