World Forum for Democracy 2025

The World Forum for Democracy 2025 Youth Delegation is a prestigious opportunity organized by the Council of Europe, inviting young leaders and activists aged 18 to 30 from across the globe to participate in a high-level international event. This forum gathers political decision-makers, civil society representatives, and experts to discuss critical challenges facing democracies worldwide and explore innovative solutions to strengthen democratic institutions and practices.

The Youth Delegation plays a vital role by bringing fresh perspectives, diverse experiences, and creative ideas to the forum. Delegates engage in workshops, debates, and side events, representing youth voices and promoting democratic values such as inclusion, transparency, and civic participation. The program covers travel, accommodation, and event expenses, providing a unique platform for young people to network with global leaders and contribute meaningfully to democracy-building initiatives.

Eligibility Criteria

• Between 18 and 30 years of age
• Actively involved in civil society, youth activism, democracy promotion, or human rights work
• Proficient in English to engage in discussions and workshops
• Demonstrate motivation and commitment to democratic values and community development
• Availability to participate fully in the preparatory activities and the entire forum (November 3–7, 2025)
• Willingness to share experiences, network, and represent youth perspectives on democracy issues

NOTE: Priority may be given to applicants already engaged with the Council of Europe’s youth sector, especially those known for their active role in promoting democracy and youth participation.
